A solo performance by American Karen Loftus, also known as the “Pamela Anderson of Comedy,” The American Woman is not just hilariously witty, it’s “a self-satirising essay in Californian sexual frankness and emotional dysfunction” as well, according to The Scottish Herald at the Edinburgh Festival. Loftus, who performed to a full house at last year’s Singapore Comedy Festival, shares with us her trials and tribulations of being an American, of being a woman, and of being an American woman abroad, and she does so with crazy stories, bizarre characters and astute observations - all injected with her signature combination of silliness and wit.
