CALL FOR ENTRIES: EXTREME SHORTS
The eKsperim[E]nto Film & Video Festival is having a focus on Malaysian shorts for its next edition.
This is an annual travelling festival with screening tours held in selected sites in the United States and in six key cities in the Philippines. It strives to feature less-visible, young and new filmmakers and video artists. It gives focus to experimental and independent works that push film/video mediums to extreme limits.
More info at its website: http://www.geocities.com/eksperimento/
Amir Muhammad is the curator of the Focus: Malaysia section. Interested film-makers and video artists can submit their work (no more than 15 min and completed no earlier than January 2001) by contacting him at amirmu@hotmail.com
The deadline is 01 July 2002. The experimental, cutting-edge and extreme shorts can be made in any format but the screenings will be on NTSC VHS. There is no censorship. Works should also not use copyright music unless prior permission had been obtained.
