The Looking Glass

The Looking Glass is a RedQuEEn! counselling service comprising of trained women volunteers who believe in the importance of choice. They aim to provide free counselling, information and support without prejudice to women who may have questions about their sexuality, gender identity or sexual orientation.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

The Looking Glass originated out of the recognition that women who need to ask questions or speak to someone about their gender identity, sexual orientation or coming out experiences have little avenues and opportunities to do so. They believe that through counselling, information and support, individuals will be able to better understand themselves and come to lead a life that they feel comfortable with.

HOW THEY CAN HELP YOU

Counselors at The Looking Glass provide confidential and anonymous counselling, information and support via email to help all women exercise their freedom of choice regarding their sexuality and sexual orientation. They are not out to convert or recruit individuals into a homosexual lifestyle.

They are also committed to providing support for women who have trouble dealing with or adjusting to the social pressures of being lesbian/bisexual in a predominantly heterosexual society.

They are also here to help family and friends of lesbian/bisexual women who are concerned about their loved ones.
